We can make out to what extent we may rely on astrology by comparing the “Trilateration of the GPS signals” and the “Trilateration of the astrological signals”.
Trilateration of the GPS signals
In the following diagram, the green circle shows the area over which we can capture the signals emitted by the Sat 1 (Satellite 1). The orange circle shows the area over which we can capture the signals emitted by the Sat 2 (Satellite 2). The magenta circle shows the area over which we can capture the signals emitted by the Sat 3 (Satellite 3) and the yellow circle shows the area over which we can capture the signals emitted by the Sat 4 (Satellite 4).
We know we are located at a place on the earth where we are able to capture signals emitted by all the four satellites. We also know that it is a fail-proof system to identify our physical location. We also know what makes it a fail-proof system. We are able to identify our location correctly wherever we are because the signals we capture are real signals – there is no hanky-panky about it.
Now let us move on to astrology. In a way, the system used in astrology to make a prediction is also akin to the GPS system of trilateration – albeit, trilateration of only metaphoric signals which are not signals in real sense but we may treat them as signals to understand why GPS system is so robust but astrology is just a creep as compared to the GPS system.
The best way to understand the difference would be to pick up a concrete example, say, what would be predicted if Saturn and Taurus be in the sixth house for a person whose ascendant sign may be Leo.
Astrological signals pertaining to the ascendant sign being Leo
Let us, first, look at the type of the attributes a person whose ascendant sign may be Leo may have according to astrology.
According to astrology, everything a person whose ascendant sign may be Leo shall do would be done with pride, creativity and a sense of his/her uniqueness with a desire to be a shining star and to stand out as an individual of reckoning in his/her all interactions with the world with a motivation to excel in life. He/she would be a bright-hearted, generous and an honourable person. He/she would get inspired by the success-stories of other people. Warmth and benevolence will flow from him/her and people would appreciate his/her benevolence and magnanimity.
Sun is the lord (the ruling planet) of Leo.
If Sun may be in Sagittarius at the time of his/her birth, he/she will respond to the environment a little differently than another person who may have had Sun in Scorpio or Virgo.
Though we may concede that the attributes such as whatever a person whose ascendant sign may be Leo shall do – would be done with pride, creativity and a sense of his/her uniqueness with a desire to be a shining star and to stand out as an individual of reckoning in his/her all interactions with the world with a motivation to excel in life may have been based on intensive research done by the people who would have developed astrology it is not at all clear on what basis they should have thought of treating Sun as the lord of Leo.
We may even concede that the impact presence of Sun in Sagittarius, Scorpio or Virgo may have on the attributes of a person whose ascendant sign may be Leo may have been also ascertained based on sustained research but they did not leave any records from which we could find to what extent the observations made by them in this respect were found to have been true and to what extent the observations made by them in this respect were found to have been false.
This is perhaps the biggest tragedy that has made the entire structure built by them to serve as a base for astrology creepy.
The accuracy of the results can’t exceed the accuracy of the base they had built up.
Is treating Sun as a lord of a constellation not merely sort of superstition only?
Just think, could there have been any ground for having treated Sun as the lord of Leo?
Moving a step further, Saturn is functionally neutral – neither malefic nor benefic for Leo ascendant.
Sun, Mars and Jupiter are functionally benefic planets for Leo ascendant if they are in the 5th or 9th house as long as their lord (Sun in case of Leo) may not be in 6th, 8th or 12th house.
Rahu, Ketu, Moon, Mercury and Venus are functionally malefic for Leo ascendant if they are in the 6th, 8th or 12th house – another heap of superstitions ready to stare at you.
If we may treat these attributes as signals received from “Sat 1 of astrology”, obviously the veracity of these signals stands nowhere close to the veracity of the GPS signals we get from Sat 1.
Astrological signals pertaining to the Sixth House
Now let us move on to the astrological signals featured under the “sixth house”.
This house refers to the sixth sign of zodiac, the Virgo.
The natural “significator” of this house is the planet Mercury.
This house rules a person’s health and sickness, type of diet, debts he/she may take, labour, service or work done by him/her, his/her daily routine, his/her co-workers, maternal uncles and aunts, sins, wicked acts and fears.
The sixth house also indicates diseases and sicknesses, the real state of the diseases, recovery from them and their durations.
It also covers his/her interaction with his employees, subordinates or servants and their loyalty and faithfulness toward him/her.
It also governs matters related to pet animals and small cattle, domestic creatures, tenants, clothing, hygiene and sanitation.
At government level, this house rules all the matters signified by the ministry of health, defence, labour, employment and human resource development.
The parts of the body ruled by this house are the pancreas, stomach, intestinal tract, duodenum and the digestion process.
The most important facet, of course, of the sixth house is that of service to the public or humanity at large.
It is not known on what basis they should have thought that Mercury should have been the natural “significator” of the sixth house. It has to be also deemed merely as a superstition only.
However, let us treat these signals as the signals received from “Sat 2 of astrology”.
Astrological signals pertaining to the presence of Saturn in the Sixth House
Saturn spends about two and a half years in each house and is “retrograde” for about four and a half months and rules the sign Capricorn.
Saturn in the Sixth House emphasizes the liability to colds, chills and accidents involving falling or things falling on the native (the person who may have Saturn in the sixth house). There is also a tendency toward industrial disease. It brings arduous conditions of work, many difficulties, worries and anxieties, even though it shows the efficiency and capacity to carry out duties and responsibilities.
It is supposed to tend to weaken the recuperative powers of the native, especially during the early part of his/her life. Saturn in the sixth house causes health problems and problems with finding employment. When Saturn is retrograde in sixth house the person feels a strong responsibility to others, is an excellent organizer and can help others to resolve dilemmas and find solutions to the problems.
Transiting Saturn brings opportunities to learn self-discipline and how to face responsibilities in the life. It is supposed to offer the native, the best opportunities to grow wiser as he/she grows older.
Even if we concede that this all may have been ascertained through intensive research only but it is beyond comprehension that Saturn should rule the sign Capricorn. Would you not call it merely a matter of superstition only?
Anyway, let us treat these signals as the signals received from “Sat 3 of astrology”.
Astrological signals pertaining to the presence of Taurus in the Sixth House
The native having Taurus in the sixth house is supposed to work hard for his/her financial and material resources.
He/she may find great difficulty in leaving the activities and challenges of the day behind him/her. Rest and relaxation may not be in his/her bucket as he/she is more likely to keep busy – attending to the healing and wellness of others rather than his/her own welfare.
The native would always get a “pat on his/her back” in the form of gratitude expressed by others for his/her contributions.
The native would tend to give his/her possessions freely to others from the viewpoint of the welfare of humanity exhibiting selfless service to others.
He/she may be either a great mediator or a great disturber with co-workers or those who work under him.
When it comes to the health aspect he/she should learn to conserve his energy because he would like to over-strain himself/herself most of the time though he/she may have usually good health with great recuperative power.
Let us treat these signals as the astrological signals received from “Sat 4 of astrology”.
Trilateration of the astrological signals
If we compare the quality of the astrological signals and the quality of the signals we get from the navigational satellites for GPS we can very easily make out the astrological signals are no match to the signals – quality wise.
We can also make out – what sort of trilateration such signals may yield or how much we may rely on astrology.
Half of astrology is made up of superstitions only.
If you may have not tried, try it. Results of a superstition would turn out 50 percent of the times true and 50 percent of the times false.
Due to an overtone of superstitions, results of astrology are also true only 50 percent of the times and 50 percent of the times – wrong.
So, it makes no sense making astrology our raison d’être.
